Webinar: What Can I Say? Crucial Conversations from the Maine Tobacco HelpLine

10.16.19 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Engaging tobacco users can be challenging and rewarding. Conversations with clients can take unexpected turns, in response to heart-felt, crucial questions and statements from those seeking to quit the use of tobacco. In this webinar, we will share with you actual (de-identified) participant statements, and examples of how the HelpLine counselors responded to those statements. Our goal is to increase your confidence and competence when working with people with tobacco use disorder.

The Maine Tobacco HelpLine is a free, professionally staffed resource that can assist tobacco users in Maine to make a quit plan and quit for good. The Tobacco Treatment Specialists on the HelpLine are highly trained to respond to a variety of participant concerns and situations.

Presenter: Fred Wolff, LADC, NCTTP – Tobacco Treatment Educator, MaineHealth Center for Tobacco Independence & Emily Freeman – Maine Tobacco HelpLine
