Working with individuals with tobacco use disorder and helping them to start living a tobacco-free life can be very rewarding. It can also be challenging and frustrating at times. Although many providers in healthcare are familiar with the concept of self-care, that is, paying attention to your own mental, physical, and spiritual selves, and indeed encourage their clients or patients to embrace the concept, some may find it a challenge to put the concept into practice in their own lives. In this webinar, we will explore some of the ways that providers can make it a priority to walk the walk and model self-care for their clients and patients, and we will discuss how to use supervision to effectively deliver evidenced-based tobacco interventions.
