Description This 90-minute virtual training will explore how health systems can effectively address tobacco use among patients by incorporating screening, brief intervention, referral pathways, and follow-up into routine clinical care.  Participants will explore evidence-based strategies for optimizing workflows, strengthening documentation, practices, and ensuring staff competency. The session will also provide an overview of the Maine QuitLink referral process and available treatment services. This program provides education on evidence-based research ranging from tobacco treatment medications, population-based issues and targeted tobacco treatment intervention skills. The MaineHealth Center for Tobacco Independence Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) Program offers evidence-based education available in a versatile and fun format. Participants will gain competence in treating patients with tobacco use disorder and learn how to address tobacco use within organizations.
