The Breathe Easy Gold Star Standards of Excellence Program proudly recognizes Maine organizations demonstrating leadership in tobacco prevention, treatment and creating tobacco-free environments.
Since the inaugural hospital awards in 2010, the program has expanded to honor excellence across colleges and universities (2011), behavioral health organizations (2017), and healthcare organizations (2020), reflecting a growing commitment to advancing tobacco-free environments and best practices across diverse settings.
