Being hosted virtually, the Tobacco Treatment and Prevention Conference will feature nationally recognized speakers and local experts to discuss a wide array of tobacco treatment and prevention topics, including:

Pre-Conference Workshop: An extended learning opportunity designed for those who are currently providing or planning to provide treatment, and is required for for those pursuing the National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice. The session “Cognitive and Behavioral Strategies for Promoting Tobacco Treatment” will be presented by Dr. Joanna Streck, Clinical Psychologist, Massachusetts General Hospital.

Conference Highlights: the May 10th conference will feature keynote speaker, Matthew L. Myers, President and CEO of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, speaking on E-Cigarettes – “When Reality Doesn’t Match Hope.”

Additional sessions will focus on tobacco treatment medications, strategies for creating a tobacco-free generation, youth tobacco treatment through My Life, My Quit, initiatives to support individuals receiving medications for opioid use disorders, and e-cigarettes.
